MobileMe to iCloud Transition FAQ

June 24th, 2011 in Apple

Current MobileMe members should read this FAQ from Apple:

for example:

Will I be able to keep my MobileMe email address when I move to iCloud?

Yes. If you have an active MobileMe account when you sign up for iCloud, you’ll be able to keep your me.com or mac.com email address and move your MobileMe mail, contacts, and calendars, as well as your bookmarks, to the new service. When iCloud becomes available this fall, Apple will provide details and instructions on how to make the move.

June '11 Meeting: A Realtime Conversation with Xan

Topic
A Realtime Conversation with Xan
When
Friday, June 10, 2011, 7:30pm – 10:00pm
Who
Xan Grant, Invited by Dennis Piermattei
Where
Room M129, Building M, ACCC Mays Landing Campus

Xan the Man, as he introduced himself to me, is the new Business Manager at the Apple Store at the Pier in Atlantic City, NJ. He is interested in developing a good, strong, business relationship with us as the local Mac and Apple user group. He has a number of great ideas as to how, the members of ACAMUG could benefit as a “business organization” at the store and I can’t wait for you to hear them so I invited him to speak to us. Ideas like no queues for block buster product releases, EOL equipment pricing, ten percent business discounts and use of the store for special interest meetings. In addition, he will tell us the about the unique role of this Apple Store as an “International Touch Point.”

He has prepared a Keynote type presentation to tell us about these and other ways that this Apple Store in really interested in the business community – even the business of the area’s premier user group – Atlantic City Macintosh Users Group!

This promises to be a fun and informative meeting so let’s show our appreciation to Xan the Man with a nice turnout.

Presentation topics may change so be sure to verify on the day of the meeting. Got questions you’d like to have answered? Feel free to post them as comments before the meeting so the presenters have a chance to prepare.
