I love the idea. I enjoy reading things on your site and wish I could participate in the group a lot more. I'm unable to get around very well and no longer drive, but I like to keep up with things in the computer world. For me, this would be great. I'd like to give and receive information locally than from national and international groups.

Yes, I too support greater use and exposure of the ACAMUG web site and as I think we came to agree last night at the ACAMUG meeting - we could stimulate visitation and use of the site - including many new "attractions" that we can add to it by posting points of interest, events, favorite products etc., etc. IF we can access EVERY MEMBER and have some sort of PUSH to our emails, so we know when there is something new to notice on the web site. I think of Twitter, as an example - an ongoing, closed circuit, continuous communications back and forth with members. And if we can use our software to do the same thing- I think that would be a great start at stimulating use and visits to the site.

I love the idea that we can use this as a communication port. I suspect it's the kind of thing that a few of us can start and maybe it can grow from there.

I'll start a little bit. Scanning software: Is anyone using VueScan instead of the software that came with your scanner? I have been using it lately and it works very well including the process of scanning muti-page documents and saving them as readable PDF files. I highly recommend it.
