While our meetings are always informative and lively until now we haven’t had an easy way to discuss items of interest during those long boring weeks between them (other than the late semi-lamented BBS which was, to put it charitably, pretty much a ghosttown.)

That changes today.

Announcing the ACAMUG Discussion List

Today we are opening the pod bay doors to a new email based discussion list intended to fill that gap as well as provide a conduit for important ACAMUG related news like pre-meeting reminders. Detailed information about the list can be found by clicking on the Discussion List link in the Info section at the top of the sidebar which will take you here:

After you subscribe messages posted by other members or by the Board will arrive as part of your normal daily email intake and posting messages is just as easy. Be sure to read the entire list info page as it contains important tips on proper use of the list.

Even if you don’t want to take part in the day to day list chatter you should still sign up for the list to receive meeting notices and other ACAMUG news, there are instructions on the list info page explaining how to limit your subscription to just those announcements. You can also elect to receive each day’s messages as one large message to reduce in-box congestion. Please do consider signing up for the list as it will replace the previous monthly email meeting reminders so Gerre doesn’t have to manually keep track of everyone’s address.

We will be talking about the list at tonight’s meeting but feel free to jump in before then.
